Publish a gallery and send the link
Make a gallery live, copy its link, and send the Gallery is ready email.
A gallery stays a draft until you publish it. Anyone who opens the link of an unpublished gallery sees a "page not found" page.
Publish
- Open the gallery and go to the Settings tab.
- Tick Published (clients can open it).
- Click Save settings.
The gallery moves to the Live group on Clients > Galleries.
The link
The Client link box at the top of every gallery shows its web address. Click Open to see it as your client will.
There are three ways to get it to your client:
- Email link opens a pre-written message in your own email app, with the link and your client's name filled in, even when the gallery isn't from a booking. If the gallery has a password, the message says you'll send it separately. Edit it however you like before you send.
- The Gallery is ready email is sent by Apture from the booking. Open the booking and, in the card headed Email and your client's first name, click Gallery is ready. It needs a published gallery linked to that booking, and links to the newest one if there are several. Sending it also moves the booking to the Delivered stage if it was at an earlier one.
- The client portal. Published galleries show under "Your photos" in your client's portal, for galleries linked to them or to one of their bookings. Expired galleries don't show there.
Knowing when they've looked
The first time each person opens the gallery, you get a notification in the bell. See See favorites, activity and downloads for everything that happens after that.
Taking it offline
Untick Published and save. The link stops working until you publish again. Nothing is deleted.
