Saving photos to your iPhone or iPad

On an iPhone or iPad, a normal download goes to the Files app, not Photos. Your gallery has a button that puts photos straight into Photos instead.

Saving one photo

1. Open your gallery in Safari.
2. Tap a photo to open it.
3. Tap Save to Photos.
4. In the menu that opens, tap Save Image.

The photo is now in your Photos app.

Saving the photos you loved

1. Heart the photos you want. See Your photo gallery.
2. Tap Download at the top of the gallery.
3. Tap Save the ... you loved to Photos. The button shows how many.
4. In the menu that opens, choose the option to save the images.

This works for up to 20 photos at once. For more than that, use Download all and they'll go to the Files app as a zip.

If the button says "Tap to save"

Getting the photos sometimes takes a moment. When the button changes to Tap to save, tap it again to open the menu. If it says "Couldn't get it. Try again", check your connection and tap once more.

Nothing happens?

• Make sure you're using Safari. Some apps open links in their own browser.
• If downloads are locked, your balance needs to be paid first. See Paying your balance.
• If you still don't see Save to Photos, use a size button (like Web & social) instead. The photo goes to the Files app, and you can share it to Photos from there.
