Your first booking, end to end

This walkthrough follows one booking from start to finish, so you can see how the pieces fit together.

1. Get ready

1. Check your packages under Booking setup > Packages: names, prices and deposits.
2. Open some times under Booking setup > Availability. Clients can only book times you open.
3. Connect Stripe so clients can pay a deposit. See Start taking payments with Stripe.
4. Remove the example data under Account > Settings > Demo data, so its open times don't show on your booking page.

2. Share your booking link

Copy your booking link from the Today page and share it. See Your website address.

3. The client books

On your booking page, the client picks a package and a time, then pays the deposit through Stripe. They land on a "You're booked" page showing the session, the deposit paid and the balance. If you have a contract set to send automatically, it's emailed to them, and they can also sign it in their client portal.

If Stripe isn't connected yet, the client sends an inquiry instead, which shows up in Clients > Inquiries.

4. You're told

The booking shows up under the notification bell, on the Calendar, and on the Bookings board in the Booked column. Your first real booking also turns Today from the welcome checklist into your daily dashboard.

5. Before the session

Keep an eye on the dashboard's Needs attention and Waiting on clients cards for unsigned contracts and forms. You can move the booking to Prepping on the Bookings board.

6. Shoot, edit and deliver

Move the card along the board as the work gets done: Shot, Editing, Delivered, Wrapped. Each card's menu changes the stage.

When the photos are ready, click New gallery on Today (or go to Clients > Galleries), create the gallery for the booking, add photos, and publish it when you're ready.

7. Get paid the balance

The client can pay the balance from their portal. Paid and owing amounts show on the booking and on the board, and you can filter the board by Still owes.
