Delete photos and galleries
Remove a single photo or a whole gallery for good, and free up storage.
Deleting can't be undone. The files are removed from storage, and the space they used is freed. Only owners and admins can delete photos and galleries.
Delete a photo
- Open the gallery and go to the Photos tab.
- Click the ✕ under the photo.
- Click again on Delete? to confirm.
If it was the cover photo, the gallery falls back to its first photo until you set another. Your client's loves and ratings for that photo go with it.
Delete a gallery
- Open the gallery and go to the Settings tab.
- At the bottom, type DELETE in the box.
- Click Delete gallery.
This removes the gallery, all its photos and files, and its feedback, visitor list and activity. The link stops working.
Checking your storage
Your storage use is the total size of the original photos you've uploaded, across all galleries. See how much you've used, and add storage packs, on Account > Billing.
Apture warns you in the app and by email when you pass 80% and 95% of your limit. At the limit, uploads stop until you free space or add more.
