How to use a beta code, and what the free Beta plan includes.
Some studios are invited to use Apture free, for good, as part of the beta. If you were sent a beta code, here's how to use it.
A beta code looks like BETA-ABCD-EFGH.
Using a code when you sign up
If your invite link included the code, it's already filled in on the sign-up form. Otherwise, click Have a beta code? on the sign-up form and type it in.
Using a code after you've signed up
- Go to Account > Billing.
- Find Have a beta code?
- Type your code and click Use code.
The page confirms that your studio is on the free-forever Beta plan.
If you already pay for a plan, cancel it first from Manage billing, then use the code.
What the Beta plan includes
- Every feature
- 50GB of storage, unless your code came with a different amount
- 3 team seats
- No "Powered by Apture" footer
You only pay if you add storage packs. On Beta, packs are billed monthly. If a pack payment stops, only the pack's extra space goes; the Beta plan itself stays.
If the code doesn't work
The message tells you why: the code isn't valid, has expired, or has already been used. Codes can be tried a limited number of times an hour. Check the code with whoever sent it, or contact support from Account > Help & support.
