Deleting a client or erasing their details
The difference between deleting a client completely and erasing a real client's personal data while keeping your books.
At the bottom of a client's page is a Delete client card (or Remove client if they have sessions). Only owners and admins see it, and it can't be undone.
A client with no sessions
Type DELETE in the box and click Delete. They're removed along with their notes, forms, inquiries, emails and gallery visits. Any contract they signed is kept.
A client with sessions
You choose between two options.
Delete completely
For test clients and mistakes. This removes the client and their sessions, payment records, galleries and photos, forms and signed contracts, notes, inquiries, emails, gallery visits and waitlist places. Their times open up again on your calendar. Money already paid through Stripe isn't touched, so refund it in Stripe if you need to.
Erase their personal details
For a real client who asks to be forgotten. Their sessions and payments stay on your books, so your income reports still add up, but with no name or contact details: they show as "Erased client". Their notes, questionnaire answers, unsigned forms, inquiries, emails, gallery visits and waitlist places are removed. Signed contracts are kept as legal records. Their portal link and password stop working. Galleries stay but are no longer linked to them.
Pick an option, type DELETE and click Remove.
Finding erased clients
Erased clients are hidden from Clients > Clients. Choose Erased clients in the Show menu to see them.
Which one to use
- A test booking or a duplicate: Delete completely.
- A real client asking you to remove their data: Erase their personal details.
