Choose and switch your website design

Your website has a design (the layout, type and colors) and your content (your words, photos, packages and reviews). Your content stays the same whichever design you choose, so you can switch at any time without retyping anything.

The six designs

Open Website > Design. Each card shows the design's colors, what it is best for and its fonts.

• Golden Hour: warm paper, rust and mustard, big friendly capitals. For relaxed portrait, couples and lifestyle work. This is the design every new site starts with.
• Wander: full-screen landscapes and an italic serif. For wedding, elopement and adventure photographers.
• Editorial: huge serif statements, a scrolling ticker, near-black and gold. For photographers with a strong voice.
• Studio: geometric type, one strong accent color, the numbers up front. For headshots, branding, corporate and real estate.
• Story: a photo collage and cards pinned to a board. For fun, candid weddings, families and seniors.
• Luxe: near-black, aged gold, one image and one sentence at a time. For luxury and destination weddings.

Switching designs

1. On the design you want, click Use in draft.
2. The top card now says Draft, not live yet. Your live site still uses your current design.
3. Set the design's options if it has any (see below) and click Save options to draft.
4. Click Preview on my site to see it with your real content.
5. Click Publish to make it live, or Discard draft to throw it away. Discarding leaves your live site as it was.

Design options

Some designs have a few extra choices, shown in the top card:

• Wander: how dimmed the hero photo is.
• Editorial: the scrolling phrase under the hero (leave it empty to hide it) and how dark the hero is.
• Studio: a dark or light homepage hero, and the accent color.
• Story: whether the second hero photo is a tilted polaroid or plain.
• Luxe: a slow drift on the hero photo, and your portrait in black and white or color.

Golden Hour has no extra options.
