Google Calendar sync and your calendar feed link

Apture can keep your own calendar up to date in two ways. Google Calendar sync works both ways; the calendar feed link is a simple one-way subscription that works in most calendar apps.

Google Calendar sync (two-way)

• Out: every upcoming confirmed booking appears on your Google Calendar, and moves or disappears when it's rescheduled or cancelled.
• In: anything that makes you busy on your chosen calendars hides clashing open times from clients. Events marked "free" in Google don't count.

Connect it

1. Go to Account > Settings and open the Calendar sync tab.
2. Click Connect Google Calendar, choose your Google account, and allow access.
3. Back in Apture, choose which calendar to Put bookings on.
4. Under Calendars that make you busy, tick every calendar that should block time.
5. Click Save.

The card shows how many bookings are on your calendar and how many busy times are ahead. Click Sync now to send changes straight away.

If it says "needs reconnecting"

Google sometimes stops letting Apture use a calendar. When that happens, you'll get a notification, and the card shows needs reconnecting. Click Reconnect.

Disconnect

Click Disconnect, then click again to confirm. Tick Also remove upcoming bookings from Google Calendar first if you want those events taken off too.

Only Google Calendar can be connected right now.

Your private calendar feed link

Every team member has their own calendar link. Subscribe to it in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or another calendar app, and your booked sessions show up on your phone and update automatically.

1. Go to Studio > Calendar.
2. Find Subscribe in Google or Apple Calendar and copy the link.
3. Add it to your calendar app as a subscribed calendar.

Keep the link private: anyone with it can see your sessions. If it's been shared by mistake, click New link. The old link stops working, so subscribe again with the new one.
